Tourist from Haryana drowns in Ganga

June 30, 2021 (Rishikesh) – A 36 year old Tourist from Haryana, was taking bath on the banks of the Ganges with his friends in Shivpuri, got washed away in the Ganga River. SDRF personnel and police team reached the spot and started rescue operation but couldn’t locate the body till now.

Kamal Mohan Bhandari (in-charge Inspector) at Police Station Munikireti, told that around eight o’clock on Tuesday morning Sushil Singh son Raj Singh, resident of Delhi, Omvir son Jaikaran Singh, resident of Najafgarh Delhi and Ravindra Kumar (36) son Bhup Singh resident of village Bupnia, Thana Badli, district Jhajjar, Haryana. Were taking bath on the banks of the Ganges at shivpuri in rishikesh. While taking bath in the ganga river, Ravindra got washed away in the strong current. Intensive rescue operation was conducted in the river with the help of SDRF jawans but they couldn’t locate the body.
