May 24, 2021 – An earthquake measuring magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale shook several parts of Uttarakhand including Dehradun, Mussoorie, and Chamoli. According to an International Agency, ”Earthquake of Magnitude:4.3, Occurred on 24-05-2021, 00:31:20 IST, The epicenter is said to be 40km away from Chamoli.
The earthquake tremors were also felt in Mussoorie and Dehradun, Tremors triggered panic among people, prompting them to rush out of their homes.
However, there have been no immediate reports of destruction or casualties reported after the quake.
