Sitawani Zone is now Open for Tourists, Jim Corbett National Park

November 03, 2022 – Ramnagar (Nainital). Ramnagar Forest Division has also opened Sitawani Zone for tourists. Before opening the gate for the tourists, the forest department conducted a jungle safari for 12 differently-abled children. Children with disabilities enjoyed the jungle safari. The Forest Department served them sweets. After that, MLA and DFO jointly flagged off and started opening the zone.

The tourism session was started from Teda Gate under Ramnagar Forest Division. Along with Teda, the gypsies of the tourists were also sent for a jungle safari from Pawalgarh Gate. At 6.30 am, MLA Diwan Singh Bisht and DFO Kundan Kumar jointly flagged off the zone’s opening. On this occasion, 12 differently-abled children of JSR Residential School Village Basai were the first taken to Sitawani Zone for Jungle Safari.

In the Sitawani zone, 43 gypsies went on a jungle safari in the morning shift and 25 on the evening shift. On the first day, 408 tourists enjoyed a jungle safari in the Sitawani zone. Tourists on Jungle Safari got a glimpse of Vanraj in the Sitawani Zone. On this occasion, MLA representative Madan Joshi, SDO Poonam Kainthola, Ranger Shekhar Tiwari of Kosi range, Girish Dhasmana, president of Gypsy Union, local villagers, and local hotel and resort operators were present.
