&NewLine;<p>November 18&comma; 2022 – The scam is flourishing in the name of online booking tourists visiting Manali&period; Scammers are targeting Tourists and hotel operators by making fake hotel websites&period; Recently one such case has come to the limelight in Manali&period; Manali police have registered a case of cheating on the complaint given by the hotel owner&period; The matter is still under investigation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The hotel owner alleges that someone created a fake website&semi; the website has a similar name to the hotel&&num;8217&semi;s official website&comma; misleading people looking for advance bookings—the scammer is asking people to send them the booking amount using UPI&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Tourists from all over the globe visit Manali throughout the year&period; Most people prefer to book their hotels in advance to avoid any inconvenience&period; &comma; However&comma; nowadaysCyber&comma; Thug Gangs have become active&period; They are heating tourists by making a fake website running in the name of a hotel and asking them for the booking amount using UPI methods like Google Pay &period;&period; etc&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>In a complaint given to the local police in Manali&comma; The hotel owner said that someone had created a parallel website similar to the one running in the name of his hotel&period; So tourists are booking from there&comma; considering it as their hotel&&num;8217&semi;s official website&period; Police have registered a case and started an investigation&period; DSP Manali Hemraj Verma said a case had been reported on the complaint given by the hotel owner&period; The matter is being investigated&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
