Free Entry to Tajmahal and other Historical Monuments On World Heritage Week

November 16, 2022 – On World Heritage Week, Entry to all the historical monuments, including the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Fatehpur Sikri, will be free. The Archaeological Survey of India offers free entry to all the historical monuments in the country. Orders have already been issued regarding this.

This will be the first time when entry to the Taj Mahal will be free, but step ticketing will continue. The entry fee of Rs 50 will be waived, but you have to pay an additional Rs 200 to visit the central dome to see the tomb of Shahjahan and Mumtaz.

Superintending Archaeologist Rajkumar Patel said that entry to the Taj Mahal would be free during World Heritage Week. Still, visitors have to pay Rs 200 fee to visit the tomb of Shahjahan and Mumtaz on the central dome.

Opening at Agra Fort and closing ceremony at Panch Mahal complex of Fatehpur Sikri

World Heritage Week will start on November 19 and will be held till November 25 at various historical monuments. The ASI will organize a program on World Heritage Week on November 19 at the Diwan-i-Aam complex of Agra Fort. The closing ceremony will be held at the Panch Mahal complex of Fatehpur Sikri. In addition, there will be a cleanliness drive, drawing and painting competitions, and weekly quiz programs.
