Compensation will be given at market rate in Joshimath, CM Dhami

January 13, 2023 – Compensation will be given at the market rate to the affected people of landslide and landslide areas of the Joshimath municipal area. Along with this, the buildings coming under the threat of landslides will not be demolished now. But, if necessary, this work will be done after the approval of the affected people. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced this.

The Chief Minister said that the market rate would be decided after taking suggestions from all the stakeholders. In the interim, interim assistance of Rs 1.50 lakh per family is being given. As a result, Rs 45 crore has been released for about three thousand affected families.

Chief Minister Dhami said that an advance amount of Rs one lakh had been given to the affected people before the policy for permanent displacement was prepared. Apart from this, 50 thousand rupees have been given as a one-time special grant for the transportation of goods and other needs. The Uttarakhand State Disaster Authority released this amount.

I will get assistance after a complete assessment of the total expenditure in the affected area. The Chief Minister said that he is taking regular reports from the officials about all the arrangements in the Joshimath affected place. He instructed the Chief Secretary that after talking to the affected families, their every problem should be resolved quickly.
