Chardham Yatra 2023 to start in April, Opening Dates of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dhaam

January 14, 2023 – Chardham Yatra will start in April this year. The date of opening of the doors of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham will be fixed on January 26 and February 18, while the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri temples will open on the day of Akshaya Tritiya in April.

According to the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, on January 26, on the day of Basant Panchami, the date of opening of the portals of Badrinath Dham will be decided after Panchang calculation in Narendranagar Rajdarbar.

On February 18, the Shivratri festival will decide the date of opening the doors of Kedarnath Dham in Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath. The doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines traditionally open on Akshaya Tritiya. This time Akshaya Tritiya is on 22 April. The Gangotri and Yamunotri temple committees will announce the date and time of opening the doors of both temples.
