November 15, 2022 – Dead body of a foreign tourist who went trekking on the Guna Mata track near Naddi village of McLeodganj tourist city has been found above the Galu waterfall. On Tuesday, the team of Mountaineering Training Institute McLeodganj, local police, and guides discovered the dead body. It is being told that this tourist was missing about a week ago. McLeodganj police team was searching for it. For this, the cooperation of drones and local tourist guides was also taken. The deceased tourist has been identified as Maximilian Lorenz of America.
The foreign tourist stayed at Ara camp in Naddi village for about 10-12 days and went trekking on 7th November. The next day, he sent a message that he had lost his way. After this, the manager of Ara camp informed McLeodganj police. After this, Kangra Police and District Administration swung into action; the rescue team was dispatched along with SDRF. On Tuesday, the tourist’s body was found above the Galu Waterfall.
