Baba Kedar will be sitting at Omkareshwar temple for six months

October 27, 2022 – Baba Kedar’s Dham Kedarnath temple doors were closed for the winter amidst chanting on the occasion of Bhaiya Dooj. During this, many devotees were present on the temple premises. On October 29, Doli will sit in her winter worship seat at Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath.

According to the tradition on Thursday, on the holy festival of Bhaiya Dooj, the doors of the eleventh Jyotirlinga of Lord Ashutosh Shrikedarnath Dham have been closed for the winter season at 8.30 am with law and order. On this occasion, hundreds of devotees earned merit by having a darshan of Baba. As a result, more than 15 lakh devotees have reached Kedarnath Yatra this year.

Special poojas started in the temple at 4 am. Chief priest T Gangadhar Linga performed the aarti by adorning the adorable. On this occasion, the Swayambhu Linga was given the form of a tomb covered with flowers and ashes. The Bhog idols of the Lord were placed in a floating Vigraha festival doli and kept in the temple premises for some time for the devotees to see.

After which, the doors of Kedarnath Dham were closed at 08.30 in the morning under the legal and religious traditions of the auspicious wedding ceremony for the winter season. Then, while completing other religious formalities, in the presence of officials of the administration and BKTC, the temple doors were closed, and the key was handed over to SDM Ukhimath.
