Four Villages Around Nainital To Be Developed as Tourist Village

November 15, 2022 – Four villages around the headquarters will be developed as tourist villages to promote rural areas connected with Nainital and accelerate development, which is known as a tourist city in the country and abroad. The district administration and tourism department have intensified the exercise. The concerned departments have identified four villages of the headquarters. All facilities will be made available to the tourists in these villages. New avenues of employment will also open for the local people.

To promote the tourist village, the district administration and tourism department have identified four villages of Gehna, Jangliyagaon, Chhota Kailash, and Tirkakhet under the Grameen Utthan Yojana. The department has plans to build homestays in these villages. This will boost tourism, and the town’s development will also happen. Other facilities will be expanded along with the construction of roads and sign boards. Being in the village, the culture and food of the mountain will also get a boost.

Efforts are being made by the district administration and tourism department to develop more tourist places around the district for tourists. There is a plan to provide view point and beautification as well as other facilities.
