November 01, 2022 – Two tourists from Delhi drowned in the strong current of River Ganga, were not found anywhere on the second day. SDRF Dhalwala’s team conducted multiple rescue operations in Ganga. But the tourists were nowhere to be found.
Last weekend, five tourists, including a girl from Delhi, came to Rishikesh for a weekend getaway. They went river rafting from Brahmapuri to Tapovan Neem Beach during their trip. Unfortunately, two tourists, Vansh Kaushal (26), son Anil Sharma, Rohini Sector 15, Prashant Vihar, B, 158 in Delhi, and Kumar Gaurav (26), son Prabhat Kumar Jha, resident of Chhatarpur, Fatehpur Beri, house number 52, Delhi drown in the strong current of The Ganges near Neem Beach.
Inspector Kavinder Singh Sajwan (SDRF Dhalwala) said that the search operation was carried out in the Ganges for the second day with rafts and disaster equipment. Still, they are unable to find any trace of the missing tourists.
