November 12, 2022 – The dangerous king cobra has disappeared from Dehradun Zoo. As per rumors, King Cobra is secretly sent to Indore. Considering the matter, Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal has ordered the Chief Wildlife Warden to inquire into this matter.
On the other hand, Chief Wildlife Warden Dr. Sameer Sinha has called for a report from the zoo director. In this regard, Mohan Singh Rawat, Forest Officer of Doon Zoo, says King Cobra was rescued and brought to Doon Zoo.
After complete recovery, The King Cobra was safely released into the jungle of Rajaji Tiger Reserve. He has wholly rejected the rumors of sending King Cobra to Indore.
A snake enclosure was constructed at Doon zoo, and around Ten species of dangerous snakes, including the Rock Python, Burmese Python, Reticulated Python, Indian Cobra, and King Cobra, were brought at Doon Zoo. In addition, many snakes were brought from other states like Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
