Airlines Issued Advisory for Customers Aimed Tauktae Cyclone

May 15, 2021 – Cyclone ‘Taukate’, which is rising in the Arabian Sea, has raised worries in the country. The meteorological department has alerted the western coastal states. In view of this, Vistara Airlines and IndiGo have issued travel advisories for their customers traveling to and from Chennai, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Goa, and Ahmedabad.

“Due to Cyclone Tauktae, flights to/from Kannur are impacted. You may visit Plan B to opt for alternate options or get a refund.”

Due to the adverse weather conditions expected over the Arabian Sea, flights to and from Chennai, Thiruvanathapuram, Kochi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, and Ahmedabad are likely to be impacted till May 17, 2021.

According to IMD officials, This cyclonic activity would bring rain or thunderstorms in the coastal belt between May 16 and 18, with some of the places in the region receiving heavy to extremely heavy rainfall.
