
<p>December 04, 2023 – The search for the leopard spotted on Friday night in the Neb Sarai area of south Delhi remains ongoing, heightening concerns among local residents. Despite the deployment of at least 50 police officials and the forest department&#8217;s efforts, the elusive feline has yet to be located.</p>



<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s been more than 48 hours, and there is no lead on the leopard. The two trap cages set up by the forest department are still in place,&#8221; reported a police official on Monday.</p>



<p>The initial sighting occurred near a farmhouse in the Neb Sarai area, located on the Delhi-Haryana border, sparking worry among locals. However, the leopard has not been seen since that initial incident.</p>



<p>To manage the situation, approximately 50 Neb Sarai Police station staff members are on round-the-clock duty, closely monitoring the area. Working under the supervision of Station House Officer Inspector Surender Rana, they are collaborating with forest department personnel to coordinate search efforts.</p>



<p>&#8220;We are making announcements at least thrice a day, informing people about do&#8217;s and don&#8217;ts if they encounter the leopard again,&#8221; stated another police official.</p>



<p>Over the weekend, the forest department deployed two teams, each comprising 40 personnel, to comb the jungle area connected to the Aravali Hills range. Despite these efforts, the leopard&#8217;s current whereabouts remain unknown, adding to the apprehension in the region.</p>



<p>As the search continues, authorities are emphasizing public awareness, advising residents on safety measures and actions to take if they spot the leopard. The situation remains fluid, with local authorities working diligently to ensure the safety of residents in Neb Sarai.</p>
