
<p>January 13, 2023 – ISRO has issued a report regarding the Joshimath landslide; it has been told that the land of Joshimath has sunk 5.4 cm in 12 days. In addition, the National Remote Sensing Center of ISRO released the satellite image. In which it is visible.</p>

<p>Satellite images released by ISRO show that the city of <a href="http://wildhawk.in/topics/joshimath-news/">Joshimath</a> sank 5.4 cm between December 27 and January 8. Within 12 days, the city went down by 5.4 cm. ISRO&#8217;s report states that the mudslide has also affected the army helipad and Narsingh temple in Joshimath. The epicenter of the collapse is located near the Joshimath-Auli road at an altitude of 2180 meters.</p>

<p>On the other hand, the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) gave the government the report after studying satellite images for about two years. It was said that Joshimath is sinking yearly by 6.62 cm, i.e. about 2.60 inches.</p>



<p>Scientists of IIRS Dehradun studied satellite images of Joshimath and the surrounding area of ​​about six kilometers from July 2020 to March 2022.</p>

<p>The study observed the geological changes coming in Joshimath and surrounding areas. Recently IIRS released its report. In this, it was claimed that Joshimath receives 6.62 cm every year. Therefore, it is sinking downward at the rate of. Its satellite picture has also been released. Also, IIRS has released a video that shows the 3-D changes of Joshimath.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Not only Joshimath, but landslides are happening in the entire valley.</h2>



<p>The video released by IIRS also showed that the landslide is happening in more than just Joshimath city. The entire valley is in its grip. Its dangerous consequences can be seen in the coming times.</p>
