
<p>February 22, 2023 – The weather changed late Tuesday evening in Uttarakhand, and it started raining heavily in Dehradun and Mussoorie. Mussoorie witnessed light fog along with a hailstorm.</p>



<p>On the other hand, it has started raining in Yamunotri Dham and nearby Kharsali village Phoolchatti, Narayan Puri, and Jankichatti area. Due to this, there was a slight drop in the temperature. At the same time, people got relief from the mild heat.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Temperature expected to rise</h2>

<p>The mercury is rising rapidly in February in Uttarakhand. In the next few days, the maximum temperature in the plain districts is expected to be five to seven degrees above normal, while in the hilly areas, it is expected to be eight to 10 degrees above normal. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the plain districts will likely reach 31 degrees Celsius. Whereas in the hilly districts, the temperature will be around 29 degrees.</p>

<p>According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain dry in the coming week. Due to an increase in temperature by 8 to 10 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas, snow will melt in the high-altitude areas. This will increase the water level of the rivers of Uttarakhand. Therefore, meteorologists have issued an avalanche warning. It has also been advised to irrigate the crops to protect them from ill effects.</p>
