Rishikesh gets First Drone Training Center of Uttarakhand

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami virtually inaugurated the state’s first Drone Training Center (Growth Center) at IDPL in Rishikesh. A skilled workforce will be prepared here by giving training in drone operation. In the first batch, 25 candidates from the BPL category were selected. The drone training center will be operated by the Rishikesh-based Computer Academy and Learning Center (Calc), affiliated with ITDA.

At the inauguration of the Drone Training Center on Friday, Additional Director of Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) Shashi Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to develop Uttarakhand as a drone state. Considering the geographical conditions of the state, drone-trained youth can get better employment opportunities. This is why a plan has been prepared to open Drone Training Center in every state district.

Calc Director Virendra Singh Chouhan said that drone technology would be very effective for establishing new dimensions of employment in the state. ITDA, affiliated with the Information Technology Department of the government, is working to connect the youth with jobs by opening new drone centers. First, this training is being given to the BPL category candidates. There are 25 seats available in the training center. He said that the movement of the first batch would start soon. THDC is also cooperating in the operation of the center.
