Gucchi Mushroom Selling at Rs 18000 Per Kg at International Rampur Lavi Fair

November 19, 2022 – A Bunch of Gucchi mushrooms sells at Rs 18,000 per kg at the International Rampur Lavi fair. Gucchi mushroom is used in many life-saving medicines and is served as a delicacy in five-star hotels. Last year, the price of 1kg of Gucchi mushrooms in Kinnaur was Rs 12,000 to 13,000 per kg, but this year due to less production, the cost has increased by Rs 5,000 per kg and is selling at Rs 18,000 per kg.

The Gucchi mushroom grows naturally in the forests of high-altitude areas of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. It contains many elements that are highly beneficial for the body. Gucchi mushroom is also one of the primary means of livelihood for many people in hilly areas. Although it is not easy to find Gucchi mushrooms, if found, one can make good money from them.

Gucchi mushroom was sold at Rs 10,000 per kg at this fair last year. Malgiri Negi, a resident of Powari, a businessman from the Kinnaur market in Lavi Mela ground, and other traders said Gucchi mushrooms have many magical qualities. However, he said that due to the hike in its price, people are buying Gucchi mushrooms in less quantity.
