Four Gym Owner Arrested for Violating Covid-19 Lockdown in Roorkee

Roorkee: Owners of four city-based gyms were held by local police on Tuesday for keeping their respective fitness centers open in violation of state government order relating to Covid-19. Later, the police released these accused on personal bonds but registered a case against them under appropriate sections.

All these four gyms are located in the Civil Lines area. “We have registered a case against them under sections 51-B of the Disaster Management Act and section 188 (disobedience of order of lawful authority) of the Indian Penal Code,” said Rajesh Sah, in-charge of Civil Lines police station.
