
<p>October 28, 2022 – The world-famous Valley of Flowers will be closed for winter on October 31. This year the Valley received a record number of tourists from which the Forest Department has earned more than 31 lakhs. Spread over 87.5 sq km, the Valley of Flowers is world famous for its colorful flowers and natural beauty.</p>



<p>The slopes here attract tourists. The Valley was opened for tourists on June 1. Now the time has come for the closure of the Valley. With the increase in winter, most of the flowers in the Valley have started drying up. At the same time, after the closure of the doors of Hemkund Sahib, a small number of tourists are reaching the Valley of Flowers.</p>

<p>Gaurav Negi, Range Officer of <a href="http://wildhawk.in/valley-of-flowers-trek-in-uttarakhand-challenging-yet-fun/">Valley of Flowers</a> of Nanda Devi National Park, said that 20,827 pilgrims have arrived in the Valley this year, including 280 foreign tourists. Due to this, the department has received an income of 31,73,400. Earlier in 2019, 17,424 tourists had come, earning the department Rs 27,60,825.</p>



<p>More than 300 species bloom in the Valley from July to October. Many flowers remain blooming from the first week of July to the third week of October. Many flowers like Pototilla, Primula, Anemone, Erissima, Ammonite, Blue Poppy, Mars Mary Gold, Brahma Kamal, and Fan Kamal bloom here.</p>

<p>The Valley has a wealth of rare species of fauna, flora, and herbs. The world of butterflies also lives here, having different types of flowers. Musk deer, Monal, Himalayan black bear, Guldar, and Snow leopard are also seen in this Valley.</p>



<p>At the same time, this time in the <a href="http://wildhawk.in/valley-of-flowers-trek-need-know/">Valley of Flowers</a>, the places where the Nanda Devi National Park administration destroyed the golden fern and Polygonum, this time there has been a good yield of flowers. Be aware that Polygonum and Golden Fern are the enemies of flowers. The leaves of the golden fern plant are broad and pale yellow. It does not allow flowers to grow around it.</p>
