
<p>October 28, 2022 – The search started for two trainee climbers missing in the avalanche accident with GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar). Colonel Amit Bisht, Principal of Nim, also reached the spot for the campaign. A team of about 55 people is involved in the campaign.</p>



<p>On October 4, 29 Nim&#8217;s Advanced Mountaineering Course members were hit by an avalanche during Draupadi&#8217;s ascent to the Danda-2 peak. The bodies of 27 were recovered after the accident, while Navy sailors Vinay Panwar (Uttarakhand) and Lt Col Deepak Vashisht still missed 21 days after the accident.</p>



<p>With technical help, Nim ordered <a href="http://wildhawk.in/ground-penetrating-radar-will-be-used-to-search-for-two-missing-climbers-in-uttarkashi/">Ground Penetrating Radar</a> from Bangalore to find both. Nim&#8217;s registrar Vishal Ranjan said that Colonel Bisht, the principal of Nim, has also reached the spot for the search operation. At the same time, the missing youth on the Gomukh track has not been traced even after six days. The youth had left Gangotri for Gomukh. A team of SDRF, Police, and Forest Department is engaged in search of the youth.</p>

<p>On October 21, Delhi residents Naveen and Aman left Gangotri for Gomukh. Both had reached Gangotri on the evening of October 20. After going about five km ahead of Aman Gangotri, he returned after getting ill, but Naveen left for Gomukh and did not return yet.</p>



<p>His companion Aman, who was waiting for Naveen in Gangotri, informed the Forest Department on October 23 about Naveen&#8217;s non-return. Aman said that he remained for Naveen until October 22 but did not return.</p>



<p>On the information of the Forest Department, the Police, SDRF, and Forest Department team has been engaged in search of Naveen since last Tuesday. A search operation has been launched from the Gomukh trek to Tapovan, but the youth has not been traced. Therefore, there is a possibility of the young man being attracted to spirituality and being in caves.</p>
