May 23, Cyclone ‘Yaas’ to hit Bengal, Odisha coasts with 155-165kmph wind speed, forces deployed.
A new storm named “Cyclone Yaas” likely to hit the coastal region of West Bengal and Odisha on the 26th of this month. The states are expected to experience very heavy rainfall between 22 to 26th of this month.
Cyclone Yaas is expected to bring the southwest monsoon winds along to the Andaman Sea by the 21st of this month.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its tropical cyclone outlook said that Cyclone Yaas is likely to hit the eastern coast of India by the evening 26th of this month.
Scientists are expecting that a low-pressure area will form over The Northern Andaman Sea and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal around the 22nd of this month. Which will result in the formation of Cyclone Yaas.
Meanwhile, Cyclone Tauktae has crossed the costal regions of Gujarat and Maharashtra and now It’s very close to Udaipur, Rajasthan. Entire Noth India including Delhi, Haryana, West of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, is already experiencing heavy rainfall due to Cyclone Tauktae.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a red alert in Uttarakhand, The state is already experiencing heavy rainfall in plains, snowfall in the upper Himalayan region.
According to reports around, 45 people in Gujarat and 18 people in Maharashtra lost there life till now due to Cyclone Tauktae.
