Now, Supporting Wire of Ramjhula Bridge Breaks

After Lakshman Jhula looks like it will be Ram Jhula Next. Supporting wire of the bridge breaked today just few days after the closure of iconic lakshman Jhula bridge.

As told to ANI by Mr Joshi, CO, kotdwar, Movement of two wheelers has been stopped after two supporting wire broke. According to him this is because of the increase in footfall after the closure of lakshman jhula. Mr Joshi also told that engineers of PWD department has already reached the site & repair work has already been started, He also told to ANI that the maximum capacity of bridge is 1100 person & right now it’s serving 800-900 people at a time.

The Iconic Ram Jhula was built in 1986, The bridge connects Sivananda Nagar area of Muni Ki Reti in Tehri Garhwal district to Swargashram in Pauri Garhwal district.
