Tiger Fall, Chakrata

Tiger fall chakrata is also known as the Kailu Pachad, and Keraao Pachad is a beautiful waterfall which is located in the middle of the mountain area of Chakrata in Uttarakhand. It is located at a distance of 105 Km from Mussoorie, 111Km from Dehradun, and 26 Km from Chakrata, it is one of the top destinations to visit in Uttarakhand.

This waterfall falls from 50 meters above, and all of the water of this waterfall is collected in a pond in which all of the tourists and travelers can bathe and relax. It is one of the most liked attractions of ever local in Chakrata and its surrounding areas.

The best time to visit the Tiger falls is during the monsoon season because it is only in this season that the tiger falls can witness its full glory. There are two different routes that you can take to visit the Tiger falls, you can take 25 kilometers to drive from Chakrata to Lakhmandal which is followed by a 1km trek, or you can also go for a 5 km trek from the dense forest of Chakrata to reach the tiger falls. If you are here for adventure, then it is advised that you take the 5 km trek route as it will allow you to experience the beauty of the dense forest with oak and rhododendron trees.

The tiger falls are not that popular among the tourist because the area near this waterfall is not that developed and the route of reaching this destination is also narrow and rough. It is advised that you carry your food and water as it is hard to find any shops around the 1Km radius of this area.

You should not count it as a downside as this gives you the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the tiger falls without getting bothered by too much crowed.
